I will never go this long again.

It has been quite a long time since I posted last. So much has gone on and when I say so much has gone on, this is what I mean....

We all went to Dallas for two weeks
Moved
8 kids started school
2 boys in football
A girl in Choir
Guinevere turned 6!
11 month year old into everything
and running a successful restaurant

Oh yeah and that weight loss has had to take a pause. I started drinking "the special" water again. I have been told by several people that it is wonderful for weight loss. It has a different name, I just have no idea what that name is. It is the water with the lemon, mint, and cucumber. I am on glass number two  by 8:45am. I can already feel weight just falling off. Here's my motivation.

"Mama Paige your bottom is huge....Seriously, it's giant. It's taking up a whole cushion seat." - Anastasia (4)

Lets start with the trip to Dallas

We went to six flags. Although, we got rained out by 2pm it was so much fun!
Then we went to the Dallas Zoo. That was the best zoo I have ever been too. It was a delight to go.

We went to the elephant barn and saw Great Granny

Hung out with my Dad, my stepmom Carey, and my brother. Which was very special.
Went to Macroni Grill. Christopher's Favorite restaurant!
After staying with my parents, we stayed that this new, upcoming hotel. It was so much fun. The Pool was the real diamond of the whole package.
*Needless to say, I didn't get in. Sweatpants don't look good soaking wet. *

We went to Texas Rangers game. All the kids first Professional Baseball game.

We were all exhausted and burnt to a crisp. This was close to the end of the vacation. Memories were made.
Then, We went to Dallas Cowboy stadium for the Gold Cup. 11th Row seats to a double header. USA vs. Honduras and Mexico vs. someone.

The Big Move
The kids, Christopher and I all love it. The house is a brand new built home, 5 bedrooms, and his and her closets. (my favorite part) I didn't take any pictures of the move only because we moved the end of July and it was just not a pretty move. Since, it is a new home I have learned something. The kids can not go to the corner anymore. We had an incident were a child peeled the paint off of the wall. So, here is my solution.
No longer "Nose in the corner" It is "Nose to the floor"

Since, we moved school districts it was a bit of an adventure to get the kids in school. 8 kids = a lot of paperwork. The school district is out of control when it come to rules and restrictions. Every kid had about 30 pieces of paper to fill out and only a certain time in the day could you enroll the kids (2-4pm) It is a total racket. Anyway, we moved into the house August 6th and school started August 8th. You can do the math. After lots of cramped fingers, several pens later we got the all 8 kids into school. I didn't get a group picture of the kids first day of school, like I did last year and will do forever. I did get a very important picture though. Guinevere's first day of kindergarten.
She was such a trooper. She walked right in there, sat down by a little girl, and was ready to take on the day. I, on the other hand, cried all the way home.

I do believe all the kids had a great summer. One to remember.

Now, it is October.
All things pumpkins, scarfs, leaves, cold weather, the smell outside, hot coffee, red wine (what am I kidding, red wine is all year round), holiday's. My favorite time of the year!
BRING IT ON!

More to come. Till then, Pray for me.

Who needs a reason?

The reasons I need to loose weight...

1. To be Healthy
2. To be attractive for my man at any day
3. To keep up with all my kids. No matter the age the kid is.
4. To be able to fit into my clothes
5. To go to Bora Bora with my husband and be confident
6. To be confident
7. To not get worn out by only going to Six Flags
8. To run 6 miles a day like I used to, with no sweat.
9. To stop type 2 diabetes running in my family.
10. To have the closet I have on pinterest.

The summer is getting to me.

The summers are awful. I have decided that I am totally against summer. I refuse to take in and embrace the season. I will be happy again come October.

Since I am the mother of this little girl, I let her where this shirt. Pretty awesome shirt for a pretty awesome girl with a pretty awesome mom.

We will heading to Dallas in one week. 10 kids for 7 hours.

What was I thinking?

Samson was such a cutie when I gave him a bath the other night. He is at such a wonderful age.

Although, he has no bath toys. NONE. SAD. So since there was only one ducky he played with that until....

He found the drain. The famous drain. While we were in the bath he found and was fascinated with the drain....
and again...

I don't have any time left. I have to tend to business.

More later. Till then, Pray for me.

Whom deserves the best?

Ironically every time I take a nap, I post a blog. I thought about it and realized it is because if I have time to take a nap, I have time to post a blog. That means I only did 1,000 things that day instead of 3,000.

I ran into a really great customer of ours outside the grocery store. Usually, if you are a really good customer at a fine dining establishment then you have money. And you guest it... She has money. Actually her husband has money and showers her with the life of luxury and milk and honey. With that being said I really like her. She is sweet and easy to talk to. When she comes in the restaurant, I enjoy her company. Back to the story, I spotted her in the parking lot. The first thing I thought was "I didn't know she went to the grocery store". Of course, I said hello and we had a few words and then she started to tell me how her life has been since her nanny has been on vacation. When I mean vacation, I mean her nanny had a death in the family and to take time for personal matters to take care of things. Anyway, she proceeded to tell me how life was without her nanny and that she had to send the kids her moms so she could have a break. She was close to a break down, it was so stressful for her. I stepped back from talking to her and had one thought...

"I envy you"

I wish my hardest decision and most challenging issue of the day was to figure out what I was going to wear to the gym. Speaking of gym, I started my diet. Change that, I started making choices in my life to change my life style according to food. Second day with no cokes, diet cokes, kool aid, etc. I still am drinking wine. I can't help myself. Red wine is good for your heart. I like my heart. I want to keep it for a while.

Here is my motivation....

That is me at 16? I think. I was fit, skinny. I know it is a stretch but at least I didn't put a picture of a super model. I put a picture of a body that is reachable. Its reachable because it was mine....once.

By the way, that is me and my best friend Mandy Mo. We were somewhere around 16 and invisible. We had no fears, no tears. That was a fun time, I miss her.

I need a full length robe. I have an incredibly comfortable robe but it is short. fo something when I get out of the shower, or just to look cool.

This looks appropriate.

I have so much more to write about but it is getting late and I only have so many hours till Samson wakes up.

More to come. Till then Pray for me.

Break anytime soon?

With having ten kids, a restaurant, a husband, moving, trying to loose weight (who am I kidding...scratch that), and trying to have a life is...well...time consuming (I think that is the best way to put it). If someone was to tell me that they were busy with one of the above listed I might would just have to laugh in their face. It might just be me but the last month it has seem to never slow down. Usually, there is one day or if your lucky two days out of the week that you have to recharge. Lately, we haven't had one of those days. They start to ware on you after a while. I see the light at the end of the tunnel soon, even if it is only in my dreams.

We are big Les Miserables fans. Christopher got me hooked along time ago, we listen to the soundtrack in our restaurant and we actually downloaded the 10 anniversary on our computer. So when it came out in the movies we freaked out! We saw it and the second it came out on DVD we bought. With that being said we have preteens and teens that love pop music. So you will only get this is you know the latest pop music and have seen Les Miserables.

More to come. Till then.....Pray for me.

Busy Business, Busy Baby, Busy Bunch

I havent updated since the first time because I how freakishly busy I have been.

We opened our Wine Bar. Man, owning your own business is rough. The social media alone is a job all by it's self. Enough about being busy....

So...the kids are out of school. Which is a bitter sweet thing. The kids not having to go to school is great. They like it and as a parent that is what you want, your kids to be happy. The bitter part the house is always a mess. lol AWFUL.

On Facebook everyone was posting pictures of their kids graduating to the next level, the next grade, the next chapter in life, even if it is only from 3rd grade to 4th grade. Forget the law graduates and Medical school gradates. "We are proud of our little tommy that made it from the 4th grade to 5th grade, exciting new chapter!!!" Hmmm.... So I posted on Facebook...

"Since everyone is congratulating their children on passing and being promoted to the next level, I need to congratulate my bunch...

Good job Devin, Jaryd, Victoria, Abigail, Isabella, Alexander and Adrianna for waking up early everyday by ice cold water being poured on you, for late nights on projects your dad and I didn't know about till the day before and for doing your homework everyday while being strapped in to your chair.

Also, Guinevere is starting Kindergarten in the fall...Congratulations on be able to partake in the festivities next year!!

Love PROUD parents!"

I figured that was more appropriate :)

Speaking about the house always being a mess, I do have to give props to my husband. With having a million children, you could only image the laundry we have. In a matter of several days, hours of labor, sweat/tears/blood and getting lost in the pile of dirty laundry, my husband manage to do the impossible. HE FINISHED THE LAUNDRY!!!!

I don't think I have ever seen the bottom of that floor.

Oh and Samson is 7 months old. Crawling, talking, and growing. Here is a picture of him at the first time in a buggie at Kroger!! Photobomb- wheelchair guy

Anyway, much to do. I'll be back soon. Till then, Pray for me.

This Is Me.

I figure This Is Me is a good title for my first blog. Because this blog is about well...Me. Oh, also my crazy, unbelievable life.  So let me break it down for you.....

Christian
Wife
Mother of 11
Owner of a restaurant
24 years old

My husband and I got married about 2 1/2 years ago. We had a son, Sebastian. Unfortunately, he was born with a kidney disease. He was with us for 8 months and God decided to take him home. During that time my husband and I opened an Italian Restaurant, Ciao Bella. It is actually quite an amazing restaurant. We serve authentic Italian food, nothing like Olive Garden. May 2nd we are FINALLY opening up our Wine Bar. We didn't have our liquor license for a while. How awkward? Italian restaurant with no wine? Anyway, a little over a year ago my husband, Christopher and I won custody of his 9 children. Yes, nine children. I couldn't believe it either when I first heard. Two Weeks before we got custody of the "Burnham bunch" (what I like to call our gang of kids) we found out we were pregnant with our second son, Samson. Christopher and I went from two boring people to a loud, drama full, chaotic 12 person home. Thankfully, a little over a year later we are all still healthy and most importantly ALIVE. :)

The Husband and I

Our Guardian Angel, Sebastian Jack.

Devin, 15. Devin is the oldest. He is the sweet and calm one.

Jaryd, 14. The fun one. Also, opinionated.

Victoria, 12. She is the oldest girl and the prissiest. Sweet, very smart.
(our kids don't believe in shoes)

Abigail 11. She is very sweet. Tender hearted, quiet. She, also, is opinionated at times.

Isabella 10. She is the Helper. She is most easy going of them all....its nice to have at least one.

Alexander 9. He is the boy. lol All boy. My sweet Guy!

Adrianna 7 (going on 19). She is the girl that wishes she was the oldest. She is just precious.

Guinevere 5. I think she is the best 5 year old in the world. The kindest, smartest, cutest little girl.

Anastasia 4. She is sweet, loud, precious, crazy, and smart. Not a good combination for a 4 year old. She will give you a run for your money!!!

Samson 6 months. The Runt of the gang.

That's my life in a nutshell. More to come. Till then...pray for me.
